Eating Disorders Families Australia Event a Reminder That Mental Healthcare is Not a Luxury

I had the honour of attending the launch of the 'Nourish, Nurture, Notice' program by EDFA Eating Disorders Families Australia in the Speaker's courtyard.

I know first-hand how important services like these are. This ground-breaking program, developed with The Embrace Collective, aims to provide vital education to parents and carers to prevent eating disorders in our youth.

Thank you to Milton Dick MP for hosting this important event.

The Coalition is invested in the treatment, research, and care of body image issues and eating disorders. Wandi Nerida, community-based treatment funding, recovery coaches, program pilots, Medicare-funded psychologist visits, and social media reforms are all proof that our commitment to tackling eating disorders is more than just empty words.

After all, mental healthcare is not a luxury.
