Backing the Building Sector

Kicked off the Parliamentary year at the Master Builders Australia annual Builders BBQ at Queen's Terrace. It was great to catch up and chat with CEO Denita Wawn about the latest insights and stats on the building industry.

Having started my Building career as a Master Builders apprentice, I know how crucial this industry is to our economy. In Fisher, the construction sector employs nearly 10,000 people and supports over 3,800 small businesses. For every dollar invested, three dollars are returned to the economy.

The Coalition is committed to bolstering the building industry with our $5 billion fund for critical infrastructure, ensuring we have the roads, water, and electricity needed to build new homes. This will help address the housing crisis and support community growth.

Excited about the future and the opportunities for apprenticeships in this dynamic industry under a Dutton-led Government.
